The Botanical Garden of the University of Bologna is one of the oldest in Italy.
It was founded, in fact, in 1568 by Ulisse Aldrovandi (1522-1605).

The garden also features four greenhouses, two tropical - one semi-inlay - and two succulent plants. A small greenhouse houses a collection of insectivorous plants.

In addition to the overwhelmingly educational activity targeted at the University, but also at schools of all levels and levels, associations and groups of visitors, the Botanical Garden has been active in researching and participating in numerous national, national, and international.

The Botanical Garden is part of the University Museum of Fine Arts Alma Mater Studiorum University of Bologna - SMA.
